Basel al-Araj — pharmacist, writer, militant — was assassinated by the Israeli occupation forces in 2017, after months in hiding. Known as the engaged intellectual, he refused to separate study from struggle, theory from praxis. His writings, seized alongside his weapons, have long circulated online; this book gathers a selection of them, printed in English for the first time.

Arising from deathworlds under a planet-wide cataclysm, where genocide is normalised as security and resistance condemned as ‘acts of terror’, these fragments testify to the dynamism of Basel’s intellectual mission, fusing manifesto, conjunctural analysis, and political education. Frank and unsparing, they move between history and speculative reflection on the meaning of resistance.

The range is wide, but the commitment is singular: Palestinian freedom pursued beyond factional confines, through a solidarity praxis that makes politics actionable at the scale of crisis.
