Sofia Carey is a musician based in Eora / Sydney. She derives influence for her solo project from many corners of the sonic world, from the nuances of singer/songwriter sounds, to the openness of ambient music, the grit of trip-hop, and the improvisation of jazz. Playing with the push and pull between electronic and acoustic idioms, she focuses on lyric, melody, texture, and tension in her performances, hoping to lull audiences into a meditative state.
