Hello. My name is Hiroko Ando.
I am a Japanese woman based in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
I quit my job a year ago and enjoy Tai Chi and Mah Jongg at home.
For my patchwork, I consider the things that are around me to use as theme
I chose Mt Fuji and cherry blossoms because they are around my house.
If you look at Mt Fuji from our house, you see its expression change every day.
Fuji in the summer, and Fuji in the morning, and Fuji in the evening, and Fuji in the daytime. There are many shapes and varieties of clouds that surround the mountain.
I'm amazed by it every day.
Patchwork is an ancient Japanese kimono worn by people over 500 years ago. Antique Kimono.
Since cherry blossoms are always around us, they are a symbol of Japan, and the petals of the soil are also mine.
