As an immigrant living in between Los Baños, Philippines and Magandjin, Australia, Amihan uses flowers and the ritual of making as a metaphor for her lived diasporic experience. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe artist has created a collection of bags for Treasure. Using water bottles as a mould, each bag was hand-knotted by the artist using 550 paracord. The colour combinations are inspired by nature, urban sceneries and Amihan’s favourite shades. She has sewn pouches using dead-stock fabrics, which can be used as an inner lining for the bags to keep the wearer’s little trinkets safe.
